Almost 30 managers and entrepreneurs start the EMBA University of Hull program in Cluj-Napoca
The fifth generation of students will soon start the EMBA University of Hull program, the only 100% British business school in Cluj-Napoca. The start of the courses is due February 7th, with the teaching of the Induction module, delivered by Dr. Nicholas Snowden, Director of the EMBA program at the University of Hull.
Nearly 30 managers and entrepreneurs who will follow our EMBA program are working in areas such as finance and banking, IT & C, energy, real estate development, online commerce, engineering, consulting, medical technology, construction, food industry, etc. and come from both Romania and other countries outside the European area, such as Qatar. Their average age is 33 years, and their years of management experience is close to 8 years. Two of the students were granted last year in November after a tight competition, full scholarships, each of 15,000 Euros, provided by three founding partners of our association, Banca Transilvania, Electrogrup and SIF Moldova.
Dr Andrew Taylor, MBA’s University of Hull director in Cluj-Napoca, says:
This year we celebrate 5 years since the launch of the EMBA program, during which more than 100 students attended our business school. We have managed to attract in this program highly talented people working in companies that produce impact and value on the Romanian market and beyond. Our students have affirmed and positioned themselves shortly among the best-performing MBA groups we work with worldwide. This success is largely due to the collaboration and involvement of the business community in Cluj and the academic community in building a solid partnership. We want to strengthen and develop this partnership in the years to come.
Starting this year, the EMBA University of Hull in Cluj-Napoca offers the participants the opportunity to attend a new specialization, the Tech EMBA, which is an alternative track to the General EMBA. The two tracks include courses on general management, international business environment, consulting, project management and economics, infrastructure management, cyber security, software systems management, and innovation.
EMBA has double international accreditation: the MBA (The Association of MBAs) and AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). Courses take place over two years and are delivered by British professors from the University of Hull.
The Business School in Cluj-Napoca was launched in 2015 by the University of Hull in the UK, the Babeş-Bolyai University, Banca Transilvania and Electrogrup. Transylvania Executive Education, the organization that runs the program in Romania, is supported by the Romanian-British Chamber of Commerce (BRCC), the Romanian-Dutch Chamber of Commerce (NRCC), the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and Emerson
